Our Pillars are the foundations of our organisation. The vision which has proudly supported our mission for over 400 years.

Independence to live a full life

Independent living doesn’t mean living without help.

Community at the heart

Plymouth Charity Trust is centred around encouraging a positive and caring community.

Sanctuary in a safe environment

Everyone is deserving of shelter and a secure place to call home.

Stability through difficult times

Life can be challenging, but the right support can bring stability when you need it most.

Did you know Plymouth Charity Trust has been supporting local people for over 400 years?

The charity was originally founded in 1632 by Mr Elize Hele. Our extensive history makes us one of the oldest, most reliable organisations in the city. Run solely by volunteers who genuinely care for residents and families, and support our wider ambition by looking after the needs of our extended local communities.
